Currently Navistream doesn't automatically change the active regulations of a driver when crossing a border.
The driver will have to do this manually to verify that they have hours to drive in the US before crossing the border.
To do this:
- Touch Driver Logs (ELD) on the Navistream Main Screen
- Touch the Drop Down menu located on the top right of the tablet showing your current regulations
- From the selections list that then appears, select the new regulation set
After changing regulation sets the system will recalculate the remaining hours of duty based on previous and today's driver logs.
It is important to note that if a driver switches regulations and does not have hours to drive under the new regulation set, that they will not incur a violation unless they start driving.
