Audible alerts on the tablet provide a driver the opportunity to reduce their speed, without taking their eyes off the road. This does so by playing two separate sounds on the tablet when the driver exceeds a speed limit. Speed limits can be enabled for an entire organization, or within geozones.

The first tone warns the driver that they have exceeded the speed limit but are still within given grace period. This sound will play every 5 seconds, increasing in frequency to half a second until the second sound plays.

The second tone notifies the driver that a violation has occurred and this sound will play until the speed has reduced below the limit or after 5 minutes if speeding continues (thoughts on including?)

This setting can be enabled only on the tablet. If you would like to enable this setting for your tablet, tap the options button in the top right corner of the Navsitream app, then select Preferences.

Next you will tap on the Audible Speed Alerts. This will enable the alerts for this tablet. You can verify it is enabled if the toggle is orange as shown below.

Please note that the tablet volume MUST be on and turned to an appropriate level, otherwise the audible alerts will not be able to play.

You can check your tablet's volume level by pressing either the Volume Up, or Volume Down buttons on the side of your tablet. For best results, please ensure the volume is set to the maximum by pressing or holding the Volume Up button until the volume bar has been completely filled.
